Grave Intentions – Trade Paperback Edition

Posted in Published Works, Storefront with tags , , , on May 4, 2012 by Ty Schwamberger

Rodney’s life started to spiral out of control after the untimely death of his beloved wife. He ended up on the rough streets: fighting for his sanity, his next fix and feeding himself. But it was his hunger for getting high and trying to forget his former life that was the hardest for him to control. Or at least he thought. Then came the night when he and another junkie walked into Parkside Cemetery, dug up the dead body of Becky Smithshire and…bit into her cold body.

That’s when Rodney’s life really changed.

Derrick, Craig, Joan and Stacy were the best of friends, if not a little more at times. Late one night before their impending first days of college, they decided to have a liquid-picnic in their local cemetery. It was supposed to be a night of laughs, booze and sex. Until Derrick came running back to his three friends, scared half to death. He started babbling about seeing something that looked like a werewolf.

Now the three friends must escape from the cemetery before the werewolf finds them and chomps them into little pieces.

Will all four friends survive? Or will the bloodline of the werewolf win the night?

Only the deepest bonds of friendship and something even greater holds the answer.

Cake Batter (short film) — The 2 Year Anniversary!

Posted in Published Works with tags , on March 24, 2012 by Ty Schwamberger

Cake Batter was released by Shadetree Films on DVD in early 2010. It was shown at a convention that same summer, selling out shortly thereafter. But, my short story from which the screenplay was adapted, didn’t come out until it was included in the table of contents in For After Midnight – released in Trade Paperback, eBook (both from Naked Snake Press) in October 2011 and eventually just this month in audio book from Cup O’ Tea Productions — you can purchase any of these editions on Amazon.

Since it’s the 2-year anniversary of the short film’s release, I decided to give all of you that didn’t buy the DVD the chance to watch it.

From the back cover of the DVD:

Cake Batter is an adaptation of author Ty Schwamberger’s short story of the same name. Described as the Twilight Zone that was never made.

Kristin Deyling as Mary, takes you through the mind of a woman desperate for reconciliation. Steven Brockway is the husband of 11 years and Julie Temple is his secretary in this twisted triangle of deceit.

“My entire life has been centered on the time 11:11. I was born at 11:11, started kindergarten at 11:11, graduated from high school at 11:11, I even married my husband at 11:11. Then I found out that my husband of ten years was having an affair with his secretary one week ago today.

“Today is our anniversary, our 11th anniversary. It’s only appropriate that this happens today. Why does this have to happen today? I won’t let him ruin it for me. Not now. That number is mine. 11:11″

Bartender, Please – Now Available! (Updated)

Posted in Published Works, Storefront with tags , on February 27, 2012 by Ty Schwamberger

‘Bartender, Please’ is based upon the novella “Last Night Out” contained in the 3-novella collection Twisted Tales from the Torchlight Inn (Schwamberger, Erb, Harrison – January 2011). This tale is a “what happens next” to the still-living characters in the aforementioned novella.

Reader’s beware: This story is icky, bloody and brutal.

In other words…you’ll love it!

Click here to download this short-short story to your Kindle for only .99 cents!

(Author’s note: You don’t need to read the novella to enjoy this story, but it will help you understand the character’s situation a bit more.)

Update: From 2/29 – 3/4 you’ll be able to download to your Kindle for FREE!
