New Excerpt to Night School
Radio & Website Interviews
On January 19, 2009 at noon (ET) I will be a guest on the Authors Read program on Blog Talk Radio. During the 15 minute program, I will be reading a 10-12 minute excerpt of Night School. When the time nears I will provide a link and call-in number (you can do either) to listen to the show.
Also, I was recently interviewed by Withersin Magazine. The interview will appear online in the near future. Once this is made available, I will let you know.
I also noticed that amazon.com is currently running a special on Night School, by taking a few bucks off the cover price. So, if you haven’t yet picked one up, now would be a good time to do so!
A story from the past…
While you wait for your copy of Night School to arrive (or if you haven’t yet ordered it, click here), I thought I would take this opportunity to bring back my first short story that was published, in Orion’s Child Magazine, called, ‘Gnomus.’ I don’t know about you, but these things have always scared me.

A side note on the ‘release date’ that I previously mentioned. The release date of 1/17/09, means that it will be available at all the book distributors and online retailers by that date. But, of course, it is available now at the ones above. So, if you order now, your copy will be shipped now and not in January. By all intensive purposes, the book has already been released and can now be ordered by anyone; bookstores, the public, etc.

Sticker Shock you say?! Yeah, well, what can I say…I didn’t set the price…if I had my way, it would be free for everyone. Ok, well, maybe not.
What’s going on, Part Deux
As the time approaches when I will be able to tell you where to ‘pre-order’ Night School, I thought I would give you another update to what is currently going on.
1) Arranged a book signing for mid-2009. There will of course be others before then, but I have to wait until all the book distributors have the book in stock, so that the bookstores can order them for events. I will of course keep you posted on these, under Appearances/News, to your right.
2) I was asked by another magazine, today, for an interview. Once I have done the interview and know exactly which issue of the magazine it will appear in, I will let you know.
3) A new excerpt of Night School is now posted under Freebies. Go check it out!
Other than those things, I have been keeping busy today with continuing to write the short story about a Mummy, I mentioned in my previous post.
Also, remember the second to last part of ‘Jacob’s Mind’ (Free Serialized Short Story) will be posted tomorrow.
Release Date of Night School
I was informed this morning that the official release date of Night School will be January 17, 2009. There will of course be a few places that you will be able to ‘pre-order’ it prior to that date. Once I know of these retailers, I will let you know.

Cover to Night School
Below you will find the cover to my upcoming novel, Night School. The artwork has been approved at the publisher and now the book is off to the printer. When I am informed of the official release date, I will let you know.
Night School – Update
Yesterday, I received from the publisher the final page proofs for my upcoming novel, Night School. Since that time, I have reviewed and given my sign-off on the text. Now, it will officially enter the cover design stage of publication. Again, let’s just hope they use the artwork that I sent in.
At this point, I expect to hear from the cover design department within the next week or two and then the book will be sent to the printer. I will also have a better idea at that time of the official release date and will share it with you then.

Short Story (to be) Published
I noted back on 10/16, that I sent a short story called, ‘The Ringmaster’ for possible publication in a magazine’s October, Monster Issue.
The bad news, is that they didn’t have an October issue. The good news is that they are having a November issue and my short story will appear at that time.
It will appear in the November 2008 (Vol. 3, No. 6) edition of Orion’s Child Magazine. Once it has been made available, I will provide the link so that you can read it.
