Thank You’s

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following websites.

Covington, Ohio, website (town where I grew up) for placing a nice article on their page about me and my work. You can check it out by clicking their Link to your right. I am under Eductional Resources, Covington Ohio Celebrity.

HellNotes, a great website that did a fabulous write up about me, my work and site on their main page. Their site can also be found under Links.

I would also like to thank all of YOU for taking the time out of your busy lives to visit my website each and every day. This page went live just one week ago and as of yesterday, the 500th visitor stopped by to check things out. Thank you, again, I hope you continue to check back often for news and updates.

One’s Civic Duty, a poem

While searching through some archives on my computer, I found a poem that I wrote several years ago. I don’t remember if it was ever published, so I figured I would share it with you. Even though it isn’t horror per say, it is still scary because of what our servicemen do and give up for us each and every day.

It can be found under Freebies.

This blog is your blog…This blog is my blog…

Since you folks are the ones coming to my site to see what’s going on with my writing, I figured who better to ask about what should be on here.  In this particular case, I would like to hear your thoughts on the sort of graphic that would be placed at the top of the home page.

Obviously, I am looking for something dark, scary, like my writing, but other than that, I don’t have any specific ideas.  So, feel free to comment below and leave your thoughts and/or ideas.

Synopsis (back cover) and Excerpt from Night School

I figured it was about time to tell a little more about my upcoming novel, Night School, and what it will be about.

Check out the Freebies section for the back cover text and an excerpt from the book.

I use to be a poet

Many, many years ago (back in the day of high school), I was into writing poems.  I was searching over the web today and found one of my poems, ‘Holocaust’s Fear’, is still floating around out there in cyberspace.  I thought I would share it with you. It can be found under Freebies to your right.

Publishing Process for Night School

As this is only the beginning of the publishing process, I don’t have an official release date, though I do have a fairly good idea of how the process will work from this point foward.

– Publisher will receive and process the counter signed contract

– Publisher will contact me to submit the entire edited mss

– Manuscript will go into Pre-Production (editing on their end)

– I will be sent Page Proofs, review and edit, again, as needed and send back to them.

– I will be sent back the Page Proofs with any suggestions or edits I have made for review and final sign-off.

– Book will go into Cover Design

– I will be sent the Cover to review and approve

– Book will enter Production stage and I will be informed of the official release date

That’s pretty much it, in a nutshell.  Lot’s to do, but fun all at the same time.

Also, Thank You to all those that have already visited my site and left encouraging comments.  I appreciate it, very much!

It was a good day…

9/16 – That’s when I learned that not only my short story, ‘Thirst’, would be published in the Winter 08′ issue of Werewolf Magazine, but my novel length manuscript, Night School, was accepted by a book publisher.  For more info, check out the Published/Upcoming works section to your right.

First Published Story

‘Gnomus’, was the second short story I wrote but the first to be published.  It can be checked out here in the August 2008 edition of Orion’s Child Magazine.  Truth be told, these little things scare the jeepers outta me.

Welcome

As you can see, this page is a work in progress.  But, unlike most websites that state this, I will make sure that it is updated often.  Hopefully that means that more of my work will be published and I’ll be able to tell the world about it.  In any event, Welcome and I hope you enjoy your visit.
